OTTAWA, ON — Canada’s men’s national team veteran Dwayne De Rosario is doing his part to help the Haiti relief effort.

In response to the overwhelming need and outpouring of public interest and concern, De Rosario and his company Dero Entertainment have partnered with the Canadian Red Cross to assist in providing relief and aid to the victims from the earthquake in Haiti.

VAUGHAN, ON -- The Ontario Soccer Association will be hosting the Family Day Charity Scramble for the second year in a row on Monday Febraury 15th, at Lamport Stadium and the Ontario Soccer Centre.

OTTAWA, ON — The Canadian Soccer Association and its three top professional clubs – Impact de Montréal, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC – announced the schedule today for the 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship. The three-team, six-match tournament runs six consecutive Wednesday nights from 28 April to 2 June. The 2010 winner will advance to represent Canada in the 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League season.

GUATEMALA — Canada’s women’s U-20 team lost 0:1 to Costa Rica Saturday in the match for third place at the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship. Canada lost on a goal scored by Costa Rica captain Katherine Alvarado on a free kick in the 19th minute.

KINGSTON, JAMAICA — Canada’s men’s national team lost 1-0 to CONCACAF rival Jamaica in its opening match of 2010. Luton Shelton’s 67th minute goal was enough to see off Canada at the National Stadium in Kingston , Jamaica . The Canada-Jamaica fixture was the first match for Canada following Stephen Hart’s permanent appointment to the head coach position in early December.

VAUGHAN, ON -- The first of three Ontario Indoor Cup Final weekends was hosted at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan over the January 30-31 weekend.  Four champions were crowned in the U-13 and U-18 Boys and Girls divisions.

GUATEMALA — Canada’s women’s U-20 team fell 0:1 after extra time to Mexico today in the semi-final stage of the CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship. The loss pushed Canada out of contention for a second-straight CONCACAF title as it will now have to fight Costa Rica in the match for third place. It will be this Saturday’s Canada-Costa Rica match that decides the third and final CONCACAF entry for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Germany 2010.

KINGSTON, JAMAICA — Canada’s men’s national team will enter a new era on Sunday 31 January as Stephen Hart takes charge of his first official match since being named permanent head coach in early December. Hart’s Canadian squad is set to face off with CONCACAF rival Jamaica in an international friendly match. The Canada-Jamaica match is scheduled to kick off at 18.00 ET (15.00 PT) from the Jamaican National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

VAUGHAN, ON — Every year during the course of the soccer season, there are many OSA referees who are interested in improving their status and will enter the OSA Referee Upgrading Programs.

Currently, there is the Regional Upgrading Program and the Provincial Upgrading Program.

GUATEMALA — Canada will face Costa Rica this Saturday 30 January in its attempt to qualify for a fifth-consecutive FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The two sides will meet in the match for third place at the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championship in Ciudad Guatemala at 13.30 local time. The match will be broadcast live on CONCACAF.com at 14.30 ET / 11.30 PT.
