Ontario U15 Girls Tie 2 v 2 High School All-Stars

3/17/2010

CALIFORNIA, USA – The Ontario U15 Girls Team played their second match of their March Break Tour on one of the warmest days since arrival, but the game was delayed by 40 minutes due to a track and field event taking place, and by game start, the temperature was dropping fast.

The game got underway at 7:10 PM and against an All-Stars High School squad of U-17s and U-18s.

Number 8, Rebecca Quinn, was tripped just outside of the 18-yard box and Number 9, Veronica Bosco, made no mistake on a well-struck direct free-kick to open the scoring in the 4th minute.

In the 22nd minute, Rebecca got her revenge with a beautiful run and a well-struck shot to make it 2-0.

Ontario’s lead was short-lived however, as the All-Stars responded with a strike to reduce Ontario’s lead 2-1 going into the second half.

The game went back and forth in the second half with both teams creating equal opportunities and the All-Stars tying the game in the 65th minute.
