Rules & Regulations

Age Divisions
Under 10 Boys, Under 10 Girls  -  Players born January 1st, 2000 or later
Under 12 Boys, Under 12 Girls  -  Players born January 1st, 1998 or later


1. ALL teams MUST be registered with an affiliated club, players must be registered with their District Association as an indoor player for 2009-2010, and will be required to show their OSA Player Registration Books on tournament day.

2. ALL teams (except teams from Toronto S.A. for U-10, and York Region S.A. for U-12) must obtain Permission to Travel from their District Association prior to the entry deadline. Failure to present a Travel Permit will result in forfeiture of all scheduled games without refund.

3. All Under 12 games will consist of 6 players including goalkeeper.  All Under 10 games will consist of 7 players including goalkeeper.


4. All games are 15 minutes in duration and played in 45 minute time blocks. There is no half-time. When the buzzer sounds after 15 minutes, teams on the west side of the field will rotate one field south and in accordance with the schedule provided. Teams will play three different teams within a 45 minute time block. Each team will play three 45 minute time blocks.

5. The three line violation will not be called by the referee. If a player passes the ball across three lines in the air towards the opponent’s goal without touching another player or the referee, the referee will not stop the play.

6. The ball will be kicked in, not thrown in.

7. If the ball makes contact with the ceiling or an object on the ceiling during play, play will be stopped and an indirect free kick will be awarded to the team that did not have possesion of the ball when it was kicked.

8. Substitution of players with the exception of the goalkeeper may be made at any time during the game provided the substitute does not enter the field of play until the player being replaced is within 1 metre of the bench area. The substitution of the goalkeeper must be done during a stoppage in play.

9. If any team pulls it’s goalkeeper, the player coming on must wear a jersey of a different colour from the rest of his/her team to distinguish himself/herself.

10. Teams may carry a maximum of 18 players.

11. Trial Permits and Temporary Registration permits for guest players are allowed with proper vaildation by District Association.   (Maximum of 3 players per team.)

12. Teams may use players that are registered in their club from an equal or younger age group. These players must be registered and have their OSA Player Registration Books present.

13. All free kicks are indirect.

14. If a player receives a red card or dismissal in a game he/she will be disciplined in accordance with the O.S.A. Policies and Procedures.

15. All games may end in a tie.

16. The standings will be determined by the goal difference accumulated by each team for all games (9) played during the tournament.

17. Tie Breaker if two teams have the same goal difference:
 
            1. Head to Head  
            Note: If there are three or more teams tied, head to head play will not be considered in tie breaking procedures.
           
            2. Most Goals   3. Least goals scored against    4. Kicks from penalty mark.

18. If a team has been disqualified or failed to appear for a game, all games will be null and void.

19. Any team wishing to protest a game must do so in writing no later than 15 minutes after the team's 45 minute game block. This letter must be accompanied with $100.00 cash. If the protest is upheld the 100.00 will be returned.

20. For any issues not covered in the above, a decision will be made by the Tournament Convenor. All decisions will be final.
