OSA Operational Procedures

There are two types of policies:

1. Member Policies; and
2. Operational Procedures

Operational Procedures are those that pertain to administration managed by staff.

Operational Procedures shall be developed by staff and approved by the Director of Operations after feedback is obtained from the Board of Directors.

The Operational Procedures can be accessed through the quick links on the right.

The numbering system for Operational Procedures mirrors the numbering system for Member Policies.  In some cases, there is no corresponding Operational Procedure for a Member Policy and that is indicated in the quick links as "not applicable at this time".

Operational Procedures shall include Model By-Laws for Clubs, Leagues and District Associations.  These Model By-Laws are guidelines only.  The By-Laws of each of these organizations is subject to the OSA's minimum requirements for By-Laws which are contained in the Member Policies.

Operational Procedures also include the League's By-Laws and Rules & Regulations for those Leagues which are directly run by the OSA (through its Regional League Management Committee).  For example, the Central East Soccer League is directly run by the OSA and hence, the League's By-Laws and Rules & Regulations are posted as part of the OSA's Operational Procedures in accordance with the OSA's League Policy 17.7 a).

The OSA's Player Age Classiciations (based on year of birth) are also included as part of Operational Procedures.
